VOIP - IP Telephony, We can help.
"Voice over IP (Voip) is the use of an IP circuit (Broadband) to carry call and data. Using the above method usually requires you to replace your existing telephone system equipment, if your system is not already IP enabled this can be a costly event. There are still problems from sending calls and data down the same line, as although calls take preference over data, there can often be voice jitter or temporary loss of sound.
Although technology in this area has improved, and IP service providers are enabling slightly more stable Broadband, the quality is still likely to be problematic. The alternative is Managed IP Telephony. This provides a calls only service on a dedicated IP (Broadband) circuit, with the client being provided with sufficient bandwidth to deal with the likely number of concurrent calls. With managed IP Telephony you do not have to buy expensive telephone systems, as all you will require is a server based network, and then all you buy are the handsets.
We can offer a Managed IP Telephony service based upon the Mitel 3600 service platform. For the highest resilience these platforms are dualled at London Docklands and London Telecity secure service centres. This means that in the unlikely event that one should fail the other platform takes over immediatley. By using Managed IP Telephony you have no future telephone systems costs or maintenance, as all the future proofing and development work is carried out by mitel,at their expense. All you require to set up is a CAT 5 or higher network to each user station, which is usually in place when a company uses a distributive main server to all PC's.
A major saving over your current telephony service, is that you will only ever require one single analogue line, regardless of the number of concurrent calls. As part of the setup process first european telecom provide you with a fully programmed router, and the requisite number of \Mitel telephone handsets. We organise for the complete setup of the system including all training and we will ensure that one person within your organisation is able to carry out any alterations you might wish to make, and that each phone user has a basic knowledge of how to set up and use the handsets.
Everything is controlled from the user's desktop computer, enabling individual set up or routing of their phones. One person is responsible for the operating of the system and for changing any of your business phones routing and adding or reducing users and or services. All users and or so services are available on a monthly basis, so it is very easy to add and remove them, with charges applying per calender month. There is a sophisticated routing system which is easy to operate and which allows you to direct calls to wherever you want within your premises and outside.
This system has Disaster Recovery built in so you should never ever miss another call. There are many optional services to choose from, and mitel will continue to develop these at no cost to the user, but you have the option to try and or add them as you require. One of the main plus points for Managed IP Telephony is number porting. We will organise your current telephone number to be ported to our carrier, and then as long as you continue to use our managed IP Telephony, that number will follow you anywhere that broadband access exists.
The time to consider Managed IP Telephony, is either when you are moving premises or when your existing telephone system is getting old or unreliable. Contracts are at a fixed price (excluding line rental which is fixed by OFCOM) and are for 3 or 5 years, therefore enabling you to budget more easily." Ian Ramsey
